Our Team

Barry Merrill started in the car business 35 years ago, washing new cars for delivery, and has worked just about every position in a dealership since then.  After college, he worked for Ford Motor Company for ten years, receiving good field experience calling on dealers.  Grand Ledge Ford Lincoln is his second dealership.  He sold a Ford dealership in 1999 after owning it for seven years in order to return to Ford in their retail operations.  He has been the President and General Manager of Grand Ledge Ford Lincoln since 2002.  For relaxation, Barry enjoys flying a Cirrus airplane.

Charlie Jeffrey comes to Grand Ledge Ford Lincoln, as our General Sales Manager with 26 years in the business. He lives in Kalamazoo with his wife of 25 years (they met in third grade!), 20 year old son, Thomas, and two dogs Sadie and Razzie. He was born in raised in Greenville, Michigan and has one sister. In his free time Charlie enjoys football, fishing, boating, biking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Charlie's wife and son both work in dealerships also!

Mike Carr has been the New Vehicle Sales Manager since joining Grand Ledge Ford Lincoln in 2007.  He's made a home in Grand Ledge, having lived here for over 15 years with his wife Lorraine, and two boys.  Mike is a graduate of Tiffin University in Ohio and Nick has recently shipped off to basic training.  They also share their home with Duke, the 85 pound Shepard/Lab mix that chews EVERYTHING!  Mike joys golfing and spending time with his family, and is also a member of the Grand Ledge Kiwanis Club and the Knights of Columbus.

Tom Gillies has served as a Sales Manager at Grand Ledge Ford Lincoln since 2004, now specializing as the Used Car Sales Manager.  He is originally from Flint, Michigan, and has known nothing but the car business, working primarily in GM stores before coming to Grand Ledge Ford.  Tom is married to Jody, and they have one daughter, Morgan.  The family also has a Shitzu named Cinnimon.  In his free time, Tom enjoys golfing, auto races, the Detroit Lions, and spending time with his family. 

Laura Jordan (Dickerson) has been with Grand Ledge Ford Lincoln since 2005.  In early 2012 her oustanding efforts on the sales floor were rewarded with a promotion to Business Manager.  She is originally from Eaton Rapids, and has stayed close to home since. 

Judy Williams brings over 30 years of banking and finance experience to Grand Ledge Ford, with many of those years bringing specific experience to the field of special financing, and assisting those who have "bumps" in their credit.  The dealership is proud to have women represented in every department at Grand Ledge Ford, including Sales and Finance. 

Judy has three sons, with one - Zack - still at home.  They are also accompanied by their 2 cats, Chauncey and Mr. Whiskers.

Marianne Cox has been the Customer Relations Manager since 2002.  Marianne says that she bleeds Ford Blue, having grown up in Metro Detroit her first vehicle was a Ford Mustang and has been around and involved in cars her whole life.  Prior to working at GLFL, Marianne was an Executive Assistant at Ford Motor Company for over 15 years.   She also is mom to the unofficial mascot - an adorable dog named Cosmo that loves to hang out with the customers and employees at the dealership.

Chris has been selling cars in the Lansing area for nearly 10 years now! He is the proud farther of Cody, who is currently at MSU and Tamara who is at LCC. Chris resides in Lansing and is an avid MSU and Detroit Sports Fan!

Ben is originally from Grayling, MI and has been in the Lansing area for about 8 years, and selling the Ford, Lincoln line for 4 years.  He and his wife Mari recently have two children, Gregory and Paityn.  Both he and Mari are from northern Michigan and enjoy outdoor activities year round.

Ross Ford (honest!) has been in the automotive business for 22 years.  He resides in St. Johns with his wife Fran and his 2 Bassett Hounds - Rodney and Sadie - both known for their deceptive speed and addiction for furniture.  His children are all grown with one in DeWitt, one in Sacramento, and one in Malmo, Sweden.

He is an avid photographer spending much of his free time looking for that special picture.  "My wife, Fran, is great at finding subject for me to shoot.  She once spotted an awesome spiderweb on the side of the road while I was driving 55mph!"  Ross also enjoys golf and woodworking.

Dorene Fuller has been selling cars for 11 years, and joined Grand Ledge Ford in 2005.  She is from Dimondale originally, and has spent a good share of her life in the Greater Lansing area.  Her Ford passion was found early on, with her first car being a 2-door Mercury Zephyr Sport.  Dorene has four children and two grandchildren.  She also has a Golden Retriever named Summer.  When not at Grand Ledge Ford, Dorene enjoys scrapbooking memory books for her children, photography, and computer/video projects, as well as spending time with family and friends.  In closing, Dorene says, "Grand Ledge Ford is a great place to work and do business.  Everybody is so professional and caring."

Karl comes to us with 4 years of selling experience under his belt. He has been married to his wife, Donna for 28 years and they have two grown children. Both of their kids are very musically talented and they love to see them perform.  He has lived in Dewitt for 47 years and enjoys boating and golf when he's not selling cars!

Ransom Johnson is one of our new Sales Consultants at GLF. He is from East Brunswick, New Jersey and went to college at University of Maryland at College Park earning a Bachelor's degree in Criminology. He enjoys spending his free time with his girlfriend Kathy, her daughter Alyssa, their dog Kanye and cat Kasey, along with watching movies and playing tennis. Ransom says, "Even though I had limited sales expierence, I quickly learned the ways of the automotive industry due to the the great staff that works here. This dealership has a family type atmosphere that I hope to work at for many years to come."

Mack is our newest sales consultant! He comes with 20 years experience in the automobile business and six more years doing outside sales. He is originally from Flint, Michigan, but has been in the Lansing area for the past four years. In his spare time he enjoys watching the Indianapolis Colts and the New York Giants along with playing golf, spending time with friends, family, and his three year old Jack Russell Terrier, Colt!

Mack says, "I pride myself on listening to clients carefully to deliver an outstanding sales experience. The key to repeat sales and referrals is great customer service, attention to detail, follow up, and follow through. I believe Grand Ledge Ford Lincoln offers me the best opportunity to deliver just that."

 

Sidney Waldrop is from Grand Ledge originally, and has spent most of his life in the greater Lansing area.  He was new to the car business when he joined Grand Ledge Ford in 2006.  Sid enjoys watching the Tigers, as well as the MSU Spartans, playing baseball.  Sidney has a wonderful wife Jenn, and a beautiful baby boy Mason Ray Waldrop.  Sidney stays true to his Ford ties now, when he remembers his favorite car being a 1987 Mustang 5.0 GT.

Born and raised in the Motor City, Mitch followed a job to Delta Township in the early 80's and has lived in the Lansing area ever since. He enjoys golfing and Tiger Baseball games with his wife Brenda and spends his free time on a variety of 4 season outdoor activities.
